The format was developed to enable rewriting and playback of high-definition video (HD), as well as storing large amounts of data. A single-layer Blu-ray Disc can hold 25GB, which can be used to record over 2 hours of HDTV or 5 times more recording capacity of DVD / TV video quality than a standard DVD disc.

• Blu-ray rewritable media offers quick data transfer rates and is perfect for consumers keen of recording TV shows and sports events in HD
• The 25 GB disc gives you enough space to store recordings, valuable photographs, significant data, and a whole music library
• The 120mm disc size provides enough storage capacity of 25 GB, for storing sufficient data
